Why are there two parts?
It is all one big contest. The sofi judging is divided into two sessions
to handle the large volume of entries. Last year NASFT members submitted
1,997 products! Part 1 has 31 Awards Categories. Part 2 has only two
Awards categories, but they are by far the largest: Outstanding Product
Line and Outstanding New Product.
Entries will be tasted and evaluated by a national panel of specialty
food experts. Gold judging will be at the 56th Summer Fancy Food Show in
June. Winners will be announced at a red-carpet ceremony at the show,
featuring noted chef Dan Barber.
